During Blanchland Classes topic ‘A Child’s War’, they were very fortunate to be visited by enrolment officer Captain Hatcher. They experienced some of army life including how to march, the strict routine and what it meant to be a soldier.
Castle Eden children visited Charlotte Grange Care Home to spread some Christmas cheer by singing some fantastic Christmas carols.
KS1 children visited the Forest School for their Christmas work - they even had a visit from Santa!
Norlina Class created some fantastic art work in the style of Kandinsky as part of their topic – Muck, Mess and Mixture. They all worked hard to make their paintings colourful and bright just like the artist.

As part of their iAspire project with Dyke House Collage, Blanchland Class visited the Durham University. While there they toured the campus, looking at the accommodation and facilities within it. They also had the opportunity to join a society for the day; participating in different sports and art clubs.
