- Please can children bring their reading books into school daily. Children should read at home at least 3 times a week.
- Every Monday the children will have PE. Please can children have their full PE kits in school for this time.
- Spellings will be set every Friday for the children to practise and learn and then they will be tested on the following Friday.
- Please ensure that all children's clothing (jumpers, cardigans, etc) are clearly named.
Castle Eden class had a fantastic time at Summerhill. They made nests for birds and played some fun outdoor games!
Castle Eden class are getting excited for Christmas! In the weeks leading up to the big day we will be taking part in lots of fun activities. We have so far enjoyed the Christmas disco and the Christmas fayre at Hartlepool College of Further Education. We all had a great afternoon decorating our class tree, which looks amazing!
Nursery and Castle Eden were fantastic this morning performing their nativity, Whoops-A-Daisy Angel. We are so proud of them all! Thank you to all family and friends for coming to support them.
Some of the children from Castle Eden class joined our friends at Charlotte Grange care home for their Christmas party. They were so lucky to meet Teddy the Donkey, who had also came to party with the residents.
Wow! What an exciting afternoon we had! After learning about dinosaurs and fossils, we were visited by two T-rexes, Sophie and Jack. The children from Castle Eden class were so brave going to meet and stroke the dinosaurs.
We had a great time trying judo today. We learnt lots of new skills.
Children In Need
To raise money for Children in Need, children came into school in non-uniform. Castle Eden class enjoyed taking part in lots of fun activities, they especially enjoyed decorating biscuits.
Castle Eden class enjoyed learning a new song for the Harvest Festival assembly. The children did very well performing the song for the whole school and for parents/ carers. Well done everyone!
Castle Eden class had a brilliant Christmas party. We had lots of dancing, games, party food and of course a visit from Santa.
National Storytelling Week
To celebrate National Storytelling week, Castle Eden class are enjoying listening to some of their favourite stories in our school library. Today some of the children enjoyed listening to ‘Funnybones’ by Janet & Allan Ahlberg.
World Book Day
Castle Eden class had lots of fun on World Book Day. We enjoyed having breakfast and sharing a story with our parents/carers and taking part in fun activities throughout the day.
The children in Castle Eden class are really enjoying their PE lessons. Sports coaches from HUCSF are very impressed with the children’s throwing and catching skills. Great work everyone!
Bikes and Scooters
Castle Eden class love their new bikes and scooters. The children have enjoyed racing around the track on the big yard. It wasn’t easy for some of the children to use the pedals, but they are becoming much more confident.
The children and parents from Castle Eden class enjoyed a fruit tasting activity with Jackie from Asda. They tried a range of different fruit including passion fruit, mango and kiwi.
