Snappy Christmas Concert
Our choir had an amazing time at the Borough Hall taking part in a town wide Christmas concert. A huge well done to Amber for her solo - she was so confident singing in front of so many people. Well done everyone!
Ice skating
KS2 had a brilliant morning ice skating at Wynyard Winter Wonderland. They all had a great time on the ice - it was so lovely to see all the children grow in confidence and help one another over come their initial fears. While there the children also enjoyed a nature walk and a look around the estate.
Christmas Parties
Everyone has been having fun this week at their Christmas Parties. Santa even took some time out of his very busy schedule to visit us and deliver some presents.
World Book Day

Sport Champion, Laura Samuel
Wow! Well done to our fabulous children, who raised a fantastic £525 in sponsor money to support P.E and our British athletes. We were all inspired by Laura Samuel who encouraged us to try new things and learn new talents.
Multi-Faith Day
As part of Multi-faith day the children learned about different faiths from across the world. They made Diwali lamps when looking a Hinduism, explored how Muslims pray and took part in some Bollywood dancing.
PC Coggin
PC Coggin came into school to talk to the children about anti-social behaviour. He showed us his police equipment and talked about what it was used for. The children asked lots of interesting questions about his job and the work the police do.
Year 6 Leavers Worship
We had a great day celebrating with our wonderful Year 6 pupils. We are extremely proud of everything they have achieved during their time in primary school and are excited to see what secondary has in store for them. We know you’ll all be amazing!
Fun in the snow
The whole school, children and staff, had so much fun playing in the snow.
Christmas Fayre at the College of Further Education
Everyone had a great time visiting Hartlepool College of Further Education, they participated in various activities creating Christmas cards and snow globes. Each child enjoyed visiting Santa and received a gift.
Pantomime
The whole school had an amazing afternoon watching a performance of Goldie Locks and the Three Bears. The children were excellent throughout and loved their post-show ice cream.
Sports Relief
A huge well done for all the children and staff who participated in our Sports Relief challenges. Children were amazing as they tackled the obstacle course and the mile run. It was great to see everyone supporting one another and cheering each other on. Well done everyone!
Ralph Ward Jackson Day
To celebrate Ralph Ward Jackson Day pupils participated in a number of activities around the theme of The Greatest Showman. We were joined by Tom from Shooting Stars Circus Skills who taught us all how to juggle, spin plates and ride balance wheels and Adam joined us to teach us all a dance to the sound track from The Greatest Showman. In classes, pupils participated in baking, singing, craft and lots of fun. ‘The circus has lots of fun things to do! I love it!’ said Lulu. ‘I enjoyed the balancing because it was really fun! We kept on falling over but we had a lovely time’ said Lacey.
WE Movement
We were joined by Rob from the WE Movement who lead a whole school collective worship about their charity work and how we can make a big difference in the world. Blanchland class then spend the day with Rob looking at their community and how they can make a positive impact within it. Doing good feels good!
Summer Fayre
We had a great morning at our annual summer fayre. Thank you to everyone who came to support the school and an extra thank you to the Year 6 pupils and families who helped on stalls.
Christmas Fayre
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Christmas Fayre. Thanks to your generosity we made a whopping £380. This money will be spent on some exciting treats for the children.
Christmas Dinner
Everyone loved Christmas dinner! Thank you Shirley, Sue and Andrea for another amazing lunch.
Prayer Space Day
Children and staff enjoyed spending sometime thinking, relaxing and reflecting during our Prayer Space Day. We thought and prayed about the people we love, the homeless, what we dream to be in the future and asked some big questions. Everyone thought it was an amazing and very peaceful day.
Easter Service
Thank you to everyone who came to our Easter Service at Stranton Church on Thursday 29th March. The children were fantastic, singing, reading poems and dancing. Ruby said, 'I enjoyed watching all of my friends singing and dancing.’
Tanzania Day
We were very lucky to be joined in school by Festo, Grace and their children. They came all the way from Tanzania to tell us about their life there. We learnt about lots things they do in Tanzania, including how they get water and carry their babies. During worship they taught us a song in Swahili. We all had a great day learning about a different culture.
Sports Day
The whole school had a great day in the sunshine participating in lots of different sports. Well done to everyone for giving it 100%, supporting team mates and showing great Ward Jackson spirit. Everyone was given a great treat at the end with a refreshing and well deserved ice lolly.
America Day and Family BBQ
We celebrated the 4th July with our American visitors in school. They took over the timetable and taught us lessons in history, geography, art, science and PE. Parents joined us after school for a BBQ hosted by All Saints Stranton Church. Everyone had a great time enjoying the sunshine and some delicious food.
