Ice skating

KS2 had a brilliant morning ice skating at Wynyard Winter Wonderland. They all had a great time on the ice - it was so lovely to see all the children grow in confidence and help one another over come their initial fears. While there the children also enjoyed a nature walk and a look around the estate.

Christmas Parties

Everyone has been having fun this week at their Christmas Parties. Santa even took some time out of his very busy schedule to visit us and deliver some presents.

Everyone had a great time visiting Hartlepool College of Further Education, they participated in various activities creating Christmas cards and snow globes. Each child enjoyed visiting Santa and received a gift.

The whole school had an amazing afternoon watching a performance of Goldie Locks and the Three Bears. The children were excellent throughout and loved their post-show ice cream.

Sports Relief

A huge well done for all the children and staff who participated in our Sports Relief challenges. Children were amazing as they tackled the obstacle course and the mile run. It was great to see everyone supporting one another and cheering each other on. Well done everyone!

Ralph Ward Jackson Day

To celebrate Ralph Ward Jackson Day pupils participated in a number of activities around the theme of The Greatest Showman. We were joined by Tom from Shooting Stars Circus Skills who taught us all how to juggle, spin plates and ride balance wheels and Adam joined us to teach us all a dance to the sound track from The Greatest Showman. In classes, pupils participated in baking, singing, craft and lots of fun. ‘The circus has lots of fun things to do! I love it!’ said Lulu. ‘I enjoyed the balancing because it was really fun! We kept on falling over but we had a lovely time’ said Lacey.

WE Movement

We were joined by Rob from the WE Movement who lead a whole school collective worship about their charity work and how we can make a big difference in the world. Blanchland class then spend the day with Rob looking at their community and how they can make a positive impact within it. Doing good feels good!

We all had a great day learning about a different culture.
