At Ward Jackson C of  E Primary School we aim to offer all our pupils to the chance to experience as many new things as possible. Through our sport curriculum we ensure pupils pupils are able to develop their skills with professional coaches, attend live sports events and meet inspirational athletes.  

Year 6 Girls Tag Rugby Festival- 16.10.18

The girls had a great morning at West Rugby Club developing their rugby skills. They participated in a number of different events that helped to improve their techniques for throwing and catching. While there, they also participated in friendly games with Year 6s from different schools. Everyone had a fantastic morning and loved facing a new sporting challenge.

Year 6 and 5 Hartlepool United Football Game – 18. 11.18

Some lucky pupils were able to attend the Hartlepool v Barnet game at Victoria Park. The pupils loved the atmosphere and cheering on their home town. Unfortunately, Hartlepool lost 3 – 1, but all the pupils enjoyed their parade around the stadium at half time.

Year 6 Golf with Graeme Storm – 7. 11.18

Everyone had a fantastic morning working with professional golf player Graeme Storm. We learned how to control the ball and swing the club to produce an accurate shot. We hope to spend some more PE lessons in the future developing these new golf skills.

Savannah Marshal – 27.11.18

What an amazing opportunity to be joined by boxing champion and proud Hartlepudlian Savannah Marshall. She spoke to the whole school about her amazing successes, carrying on after failures and always being the best you can be. Such an inspiration to us all.

Upper KS2 Cricket with Wicketz Cricket Coaching – Autumn 2

This term as part of their PE lessons, Years 4, 5 and 6 have been working with Mal and Cole from Wicketz Cricket Coaching. They have been learning some new cricket skills while developing their team work and problem-solving abilities through fun and energetic games.
